About HDSK

HDSK -a Charitable Educational Trust

HDSK was established as a charitable educational trust by deed dated 22 October 1991 and registered with the Charity Commission on 28 January 1993 (registered number 1016818). The Trust’s charitable purpose is to advance public education in the understanding and realisation of human potential based on Prem Rawat’s message of peace.

HDSK has an office based in Hove, Sussex, staffed by a small team. The majority of its work is undertaken by volunteers.

The greatest source of the Trust’s income is by way of voluntary donations from individuals based in the UK. HDSK does not have members, or levy membership fees or similar subscriptions.

As a registered charity, the Trust’s affairs are regulated by the Charity Commission, with whom accounts are filed annually. See the latest Annual Report for full details of HDSK’s ongoing activities.

HDSK’s Values

HDSK upholds the spirit of tolerance and openness throughout the organisation and considers respect for the human being to be one of its most fundamental values.

HDSK supports each person's freedom of choice with regard to their philosophical, political and religious convictions. It rejects all forms of illegal discrimination, including those pertaining to race, nationality, age or gender.

It is also HDSK's position that all persons are free and responsible for their choices of family, professional and social life. The organisation neither addresses nor interferes with these areas.

Following Prem Rawat’s teaching is a personal process and in no way requires involvement with any particular group or organisation. Each individual may therefore pursue this teaching without associating with or supporting HDSK.

In addition, each person freely decides the nature of their relationship to the teaching: they may follow it for whatever period of time they desire, abandon it if and when they want, and return as they wish.

Individuals pursuing an interest in Prem Rawat’s message do so with their own free will taking personal responsibility for their own life choices. Specifically, there is no expectation to associate with or support HDSK.

Support for HDSK activities, whether personal skills or financial contributions, are voluntary and are made freely.
